What You’ll Do

As our Bookkeeper, you'll do more than just manage numbers — you'll provide the financial clarity and support that keeps our projects on track and our team moving forward. Your work will touch every part of the business, from project cost tracking to payroll, reporting, and compliance.

The Bookkeeper’s Key Responsibilities Will Include:

• Managing full-cycle bookkeeping: A/P, A/R, payroll, reconciliations, and more.
• Overseeing Work in Progress (WIP) and job cost tracking to ensure project profitability.
• Producing accurate monthly financial statements, journal entries, and ledger reconciliations.
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow processes.
• Handling subcontractor compliance (COIs, lien waivers, W-9s, and 1099s).
• Collaborating with project managers to keep costs and billing aligned.
• Managing tax filings (sales tax, payroll, year-end reports).
• Ensuring GAAP compliance and industry best practices.
• Serving as an administrative and HR support resource for the President and wider team.
• Staying current on HR regulations and compliance standards.

What We’re Looking For in our Bookkeeper:

• Construction industry bookkeeping experience (residential or commercial).
• Expertise in job costing, WIP, and COGS.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks, Sage, or similar construction accounting tools.
• Strong understanding of AIA and progress billing (a plus).
• High attention to detail with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and cross-departmental collaboration skills.
• Adaptable, tech-savvy, and eager to grow with the company.

The Details for the Bookkeeper position:

• Full-time | In-office | Monday – Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm**
