Assistant Construction Manager needed in Wallingford CT. The Assistant Construction Manager will assist the Construction Project Manager with day-to-day management of project safety, quality, schedule, cost control, contracts, subcontractors, suppliers, procurement, proposals, estimates, documentation, turnover, client interface, field-based activities, and other duties required to execute Engineer Procure Construct (EPC) projects. 3 years of relevant experience is required.

responsibilities:
- Follow and promote company safety policies and procedures.
- Help manage safety performance of staff, contractors, and others on site.
- Verify insurance, licenses, and permits are in place and current.
- Assist in project audits for safety, quality, and financial compliance.
- Support creation and execution of key project plans (e.g., Safety, Quality, Staffing, Procurement).
- Help develop and maintain the project schedule, cost tracking, and reporting tools.
- Assist in site mobilization/demobilization and turnover documentation.
- Help negotiate and manage contracts, subcontracts, change orders, and purchase orders.
- Prepare RFPs and support bidding and selection of subcontractors.
- Track and manage contract administration tasks like RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
- Coordinate with Project Management to support client relationships and communications.
- Prepare and share project updates, risks, and reports with stakeholders.
- Organize and document project meetings and action items.
- Support onboarding and training for craft and field staff.
- Monitor labor classifications, costs, productivity, and compliance with labor laws.
- Assist in staffing projects and ensuring crew competency and training.
- Help manage materials receiving, inventory, and logistics.
- Support equipment allocation and tracking for project needs.
