Assistant Project Manager Commercial Construction

Our client is a leading General Contractor based in Kansas City, specializing in commercial construction projects. They are looking for an organized, detail-oriented, and motivated Assistant Project Manager to join our dynamic team for a project breaking ground in the Kansas City area. Assist in managing the day-to-day operations of construction projects, including tracking progress, schedules, and budgets.

Prepare and review project documentation, contracts, and reports.

Coordinate communication between project teams, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Monitor and ensure adherence to project timelines and budgets.

Help with the procurement of materials and equipment.

Assist with site visits, inspections, and project quality control.

Identify and resolve potential issues that may arise during project execution.

Support Project Managers in maintaining safety standards on job sites.

The Successful Applicant

A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

3+ years of experience in commercial construction project management.

Proven track record of successfully managing projects from inception to completion.

Strong knowledge of building codes, construction methods, and safety standards.

Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

LEED accreditation or similar certifications are a plus.
