About the Opportunity

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with commercial construction experience to join our team! An integral member of our Construction team, the Assistant Project Manager (APM) supports Project Managers in the execution and administration of construction projects. This role is essential to ensuring smooth communication, timely documentation, and coordinated project activities across multiple jobsites. This is an exciting opportunity to gain experience, mentorship, and grow your career within!

This position will work from our office in Atlanta (Buckhead). Standard work hours for this position are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a required one-hour lunch break each day. While the position is primarily office-based, occasional extended hours or weekend work may be necessary to meet project deadlines or support field operations. Candidates should be prepared to maintain flexibility in their schedule to accommodate project and operational demands.


This individual should

  • Have experience with commercial projects (ground-up Hospitality/Multifamily experience a plus!)
  • Be proficient with construction management software and willing to learn and use daily.
  • Strive to deliver projects on time and budget in a tight-knit collaborative effort.

  • Be able to multitask and manage competing priorities


Key Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Assist Project Managers in monitoring all phases of construction.
  • Conduct regular site visits and support jobsite coordination.
  • Prepare and manage RFI and submittal logs in Procore.
  • Update and maintain project documentation including permits, COIs, and daily reports.
  • Generate meeting minutes and schedule updates.
  • Assist in owner reports, procurement tracking, and closeout activities.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and internal departments.
  • Support budget tracking, change orders, and vendor communications.


Experience

  • 5+ years experience in Commercial Construction
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field(Preferred)
  • Prior internship or co-op experience in construction or estimating preferred (Preferred)
  • Ground-up Construction: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Hospitality Construction: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Proficiency with Procore and Microsoft Project (Preferred)


Requirements

  • OSHA 30 certification (available to complete upon hire).
  • Valid drivers license with clean driving record.
  • Credible professional references available upon request.
  • Ability to visit and navigate active construction sites as needed.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and transport project-related materials, such as documents or equipment.
