Assistant Project Manager (Mechanical Construction)

The Mechanical Construction Assistant Project Manager for the San Diego, CA location has the following duties: ensuring safety of field personnel, managing field labor productivity, quality assurance and coordination, project financial projections and reporting, procurement of materials and equipment, change order management, owner/client relations, project cash flow, and personnel management. The role requires compliance with all company policies, procedures, plans, and programs. Additional duties may be assigned.

Preferred Education and/or Experience
5-7 years of construction-related experience and/or a bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management. The candidate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Computer Skills
Able to effectively operate Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Project, Access, PowerPoint), Bluebeam Revu PDF editing, Vista-Viewpoint (Project Management & Accounting Software), and Quotesoft Estimating Software.
Required Attributes
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, multi-task environment.
Demonstrated ability to perform basic business mathematical functions.
Work with minimal supervision.
Effective time and detail management.
Ability to interpret instructions in various formats.
Organizational skills in handling & archiving technical data.
Compliance with all operating policies, procedures, plans, and programs.
Language Skills
Effective communication, cooperation, and collaboration with multiple levels of employees, vendors, and suppliers.
