Assistant Project Manager – Water/Wastewater Construction

A self-performing heavy civil contractor is hiring an Assistant Project Manager to lead their Water/Wastewater work across the Dallas metro. This is a field-first leadership role, focused on keeping complex public projects running smoothly, safely, and on budget.

What You'll Do

Lead project execution for Water/Wastewater infrastructure work

Manage schedules, budgets, submittals, and subcontractor performance

Ensure field teams deliver high-quality work aligned with specs and owner expectations

Coordinate closely with inspectors, engineers, and client reps to avoid delays

Own documentation, forecasting, and reporting from start to close-out

Monitor compliance, materials, safety, and quality control

Drive resolution of field issues, RFIs, and change orders

What You’ll Need

4+ years of experience managing heavy civil wastewater projects (utilities, earthwork, structures)

Proven track record running public sector infrastructure jobs

Strong understanding of drawings, specs, and contract compliance

OSHA 30 and strong knowledge of construction standards and practices

Effective leadership and communication skills with both field and office teams
