Job Category Retail Position Summary $1500 SIGN-ON BONUS **New Team Members Only** The Automotive Service Technician is crucial to our automotive service team. In this role, you will develop essential skills for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles. Under the guidance of seasoned technicians, you will engage in hands-on learning with various automotive systems and services, participate in routine inspections, contribute to vehicle assessments, and assist in repair processes. You'll have the chance to interact with customers, explain repair procedures, and deliver exceptional service. This position requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a dedication to providing top-notch workmanship in a fast-paced environment. Pay Range: $20.40 - $30.60 Responsibilities Change oil and execute scheduled maintenance services. Inspect steering, suspension, and brake systems. Install batteries and check electrical systems. Conduct tire maintenance. Assist with the installation of parts. Road test vehicles. Obtain or maintain A.S.E. certifications in at least one category (A1-A8) within the first two years of employment—company covers testing fees, and technicians earn bonuses for each passed test. Minimum Qualifications Ability to learn and perform basic mechanical tasks. A valid automobile driver's license and the ability to drive customer and company vehicles. Basic understanding of general automotive maintenance and tire repair services including oil changes, basic inspections, and tire repairs. Reading, writing, and math skills. Preferred Qualifications Two years of automotive repair experience, completion of a Vocational-Technical School program, or demonstrated skills through third-party certifications.
