Responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining automobiles. This role requires a strong understanding of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
Vehicle Inspection: Conduct thorough inspections to identify issues and potential problems.
Diagnosis: Utilize diagnostic tools to pinpoint specific mechanical and electrical problems.
Repair and Maintenance: Perform a variety of repairs, including engine repair, brake replacement, transmission repair, and electrical system repair.
Routine Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
Customer Service: Communicate effectively with customers, explaining repair needs and costs in a clear and concise manner.
Tool and Equipment Maintenance: Keep tools and equipment clean and in good working order.
Stay Updated: Stay current with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques.
Qualifications:
Technical Skills: Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge.
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to diagnose complex issues and develop effective solutions.
Physical Fitness: Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various positions.
Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure quality workmanship.
Valid Driver's License: Required for test-driving vehicles.
ASE Certification (): Automotive Service Excellence certification is highly valued.
Work Environment:
Shop Environment: Work is primarily performed in a garage or workshop.
Physical Demands: Requires standing, bending, and lifting heavy objects.
