Construction Project Manager - Bridges Description: Seeking a talented Project Manager specialized in heavy civil projects to oversee bridge construction initiatives in New York, NY. Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, you will be responsible for: - Managing multiple bridge and structure projects for state road and highway developments. - Creating reports, presentations, and correspondence for clients, as well as briefing team members and senior management. - Coordinating project activities, leading interdisciplinary teams, and ensuring compliance with Federal and State regulations for bridge projects. - Engaging with clients and department heads to discuss project details and serving as the company's representative during project implementation. - Negotiating scope changes, pursuing additional opportunities, and following through on project commitments with clients and subcontractors. - Participating in negotiations with regulatory bodies and representing the company in public forums. - Implementing Project Execution Plans, Health and Safety Plans, and Quality Control documentation. - Collaborating with team members to develop budgets, schedules, and project plans to achieve project goals. Requirements: - Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering (with a structural focus), Construction Management, or related field from an accredited institution, along with 10+ years of experience in engineering design and management of bridge projects. - Experience with mechanical, electrical, and bridge control systems rehabilitation or replacement; familiarity with moveable bridge projects is a plus. - Previous Project Management experience in NYC on heavy civil projects, including cost reporting, engineering submittals, scheduling, billing, and change management. - Strong client management skills with a hands-on technical approach. - Proficiency in interpreting industry standards, drawings, and specifications. - OSHA 30 certification preferred. - Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); knowledge of Procore, MS Project, and Primavera P6 is advantageous. - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
