They specialize in delivering high-quality solutions in both vertical and horizontal construction for federal and municipal clients.About the PositionAs Chief Operating Officer , you will be the driving force behind construction operations. Reporting directly to the owner, you will lead strategic planning, operational execution, financial performance, and risk management across all departments. Your proven leadership in federal / military construction will be critical to optimizing efficiency, reducing risk, and ensuring delivery of safe, timely, and cost-effective projects that exceed client expectations.This is a hands-on executive leadership role -you'll work closely with project teams, guide department heads, and play a key part they company's continued success and growth.Note : To be considered for this position, candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in federal / military construction . Applications without this experience will not be considered.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership : Align operations with company goals, identify improvement areas, implement technologies, and drive continuous improvement.Operational Oversight : Lead project management, construction, design, safety, and QA / QC functions. Ensure performance, mitigate risk, and promote accountability.Financial Management : Collaborate with finance to manage budgets and forecasts, analyze project profitability, and identify cost-saving opportunities.Compliance & Risk : Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and industry regulations (including FARs), while fostering a company-wide culture of risk awareness.Team Leadership : Direct and mentor cross-functional teams, delegating assignments and developing future leaders within the organization.Collaboration : Work side-by-side with the company owner and executive team to shape business direction and success.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (Master's preferred)Minimum of 10 years in senior / executive leadership roles in constructionAt least 5 years of direct experience in federal / military constructionIn-depth knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FARs) and federal project processesProven expertise in both civil / horizontal and vertical / building constructionFamiliarity with construction platforms such as Primavera P6, RMS, Oracle, eCMS , etc.Must be willing to travelOn-site presence requiredHighly Competitive Salary : $200,000 - $250,000 / yearHealth, Dental & Vision Insurance : 100% premium paid for you and your dependentsLife Insurance : 100% premium paid for employee401(k) with 100% company match up to 4% of salaryPaid Time OffCreate a job alert for this searchWe Care About Your PrivacyWe and our 1 partners store and access personal data, like browsing data or unique identifiers, on your device.
