Description GAI Consultants is seeking civil and construction engineering graduates in our Indianapolis, Fort Wayne, and Fishers Indiana offices. Start your career with a growing and dynamic team working on a variety of engineering assignments. We offer both design and construction inspection opportunities in the office and in the field on transportation projects throughout Indiana. If assigned to the field you will be issued a company vehicle. Our goal is to make you a well-rounded engineer in the Civil Engineering field and position you for a future Professional Engineer's license.
This is a full-time opportunity for a graduate with a Bachelor's degree from an accredited Engineering program.
Job Duties:
Transportation/Roadway design and inspection
Use of Microstation CAD software
Material Testing
Calculations of material quantities

Ability to work outside in all kinds of weather conditions.
Ability to lift heavy objects such as testing equipment and materials samples.
Ability to walk on uneven terrain and navigate steps, stairs, and ladders.
Ability to work in hazardous environments and use required Personal Protective Equipment. The environment will include dust, noise, tripping, and overhead hazards.

Education
B.S. Engineering or other technical degree
Technical Responsibilities
Performs basic design tasks.
Assists on tasks such as: field activities, material testing, CADD work, permit applications, and report writing.
Project and Task Management
Responsible for personal task management and adherence to deadlines and scope.
No managerial responsibilities at this level.
Management Responsibility
Receives close supervision on most aspects of assignments, particularly on difficult problems, and a general review of all aspects of work.
Attains mentored experience from a licensed engineer.
Communication Skills
Possesses basic oral and written communication skills.
Practices professionalism and respectful inclusion in the workplace.
Engages in few project stakeholder interactions.
