About Our Client
Our client is a full-service site and utility contractor who began providing quality grading, sewer, water and storm sewer installation for newly approved subdivisions and office buildings over a quarter of a century ago. They service New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania and maintains a staff of qualified engineers, project managers, operators, and laborers, as well as a fleet of late model equipment to service all your needs. They have performed countless land development projects with some of the nation's largest building firms as well as public projects at the local and state level and actively buys, develops, and sells their own projects.
Job Description
Our client is looking for:
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of utility crews on-site.
- Oversee the installation and maintenance of underground services such as water, sewer, gas, and stormwater drainage.
- Interpret construction plans, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate execution of work.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
- Monitor progress and quality of work, making adjustments as needed to meet project timelines and specifications.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Train and mentor crew members to maintain high standards of workmanship and safety.
- Inspect completed work to ensure proper installation and adherence to project requirements.
- Coordinate the use and maintenance of equipment and materials on-site.
- Keep detailed records of work performed, including daily logs, incident reports, and material usage.

The Successful Applicant
- Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience in paving operations, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Skills: Strong leadership and organizational skills; excellent communication abilities.
- Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of paving techniques, materials, and equipment. Familiarity with local construction codes and industry best practices.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in construction management or related field is a plus.
- Certifications: OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification preferred.
- Licenses: Valid driver's license (CDL preferred).
- Physical Requirements: Ability to work in all weather conditions and lift up to 30 lbs. on occasion.
