JOB OPENING: Estimator

POSITION STATUS: Full Time

LOCATION: On-site (non-remote)

EMPLOYEE CLASIFICATION: Administrative

ACCOUNTABLE TO: Pre-Construction Services Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Estimator is responsible for completing estimates for construction projects including design-build, conceptual, negotiated, budgets, and plan/spec projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Assist with Pre-Construction activities, including value engineering, estimating, and cost control.

· Help manage and maintain current cost database.

· Develop and manage relationships with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other team members while developing schematic proposals, design development proposals, and final estimates.

· Assist Operations Manager with establishing new procedures to streamline the estimating process.

QUALIFICATIONS:

CM or Construction Engineering Degree, or equivalent experience; organized; multi-tasker; proven experience; ability to read and interpret construction drawings; good communicator; systematic thinker; strong work ethic; excellent writing skills; demonstrated ability to take leadership role on projects from start to finish; proactive approach to problem resolution and issue management; ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam or equivalent.
