Commercial Construction Superintendent
Are you an experienced and professional Construction Superintendent with a proven track record of success in commercial ground-up projects? We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented leader to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on manager who can lead all site activities, ensure safety and quality, and drive projects to a successful completion.
Responsibilities
Lead all site activities, managing and taking full responsibility for all on-site construction.
Enforce safety protocols, conduct weekly safety meetings, and immediately address any job site hazards.
Develop and maintain project schedules, including two-week look-aheads, while identifying and resolving any scheduling conflicts.
Direct all field personnel and subcontractors to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Maintain daily communication with the Project Manager, especially concerning any issues that could impact the project's safety or success.
Uphold positive relationships with customers, subcontractors, suppliers, and all project stakeholders.
Collaborate with the design team to understand the project intent and effectively communicate any conflicts or potential changes.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site and office.
Utilize technology and software proficiently to manage project tasks.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required; a college degree or coursework in construction technology or management is .
Experience: At least five years of successful experience as a Construction Superintendent with a commercial general contracting company.
Ground-Up Projects: Proven experience with ground-up commercial construction.
Field Supervision: Extensive experience in field supervision, safety oversight, scheduling, and quality control across all phases of commercial construction.
Project Management: Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Licensing: A current and valid driver’s license is required. A Construction Supervisor’s License may also be required, depending on the jurisdiction.
