Position Summary: In this role, you'll be responsible for managing all facets of project-related accounting - from budgeting and job costing to compliance and reporting. Your expertise will help ensure accurate financial tracking and support the continued success of high-quality construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and cost reports for construction projects
- Process accounts payable/receivable tied to project costs
- Review and reconcile general ledger accounts specific to construction activity
- Partner with project managers and field staff to monitor financial performance
- Ensure compliance with contracts, lien waivers, insurance, and billing terms
- Maintain thorough and organized job cost records and documentation
- Support month-end and year-end close procedures
- Prepare internal financial reports and support audit processes
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline preferred
- Minimum 3 years of accounting experience within the construction industry
- Solid understanding of job costing, WIP reports, and GAAP standards
- Experience with accounting software such as Sage 300, Viewpoint, or QuickBooks
- Highly organized with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork
