Construction Accountant

Reports to the CFO, responsible for all aspects of the accounting functions of several of the Bone group of companies.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Full cycle accounting including adjusting journal entries, fixed assets, account reconciliations
- Review time sheets, work charts, wage computations and other information to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies and determine correct billing amounts
- Entering construction budgets and monitoring job costs to determine discrepancies
- Accounting close for multiple companies
- Ensure GAAP compliance
- Ensure compliance with federal, state and local tax requirements
- Process Accounts payable, payroll and billing
Position Requirements:
- Education and Training
- BS in accounting or equivalent work experience
- Job Experience
- 2 years construction accounting experience in a corporate environment
- Experience and accuracy in customer service, payroll, Accounts Payable, Credits/Collection, and billing
- Understand the difference between percentage of completion and completed costs accounting
- Skills and Competencies
- Microsoft Office and Excel
