Construction Coordinator The Construction Field Coordinator is responsible for residential and commercial Hybrid Fiber Coaxial (HFC) construction projects and Fiber to the Unit (FTTU) builds. Key responsibilities include: Developing plans for network builds including designs, BOMs, budgets, and contractor selection. Setting standards for construction and conducting quality control checks on each project. Meeting with homeowner associations, businesses, and local governments to review the construction process. Validating current plan designs. Gathering relevant information regarding scope of work and costs. Tracking and approving daily production while managing the as-built and invoicing process. Coordinating basic construction projects through contract labor for building, repairing, and maintaining HFC. Ensuring quality of work meets established technical standards and company policies. Adhering to industry-specific local, state, and federal regulations. Supporting efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience. Coordinating with engineers and developers in designing the plant by performing site surveys. Completing bill of materials, cost estimates, and ordering materials needed for construction projects. Updating map databases with system changes per company design specifications. Preparing system maps and print packages for distribution. Performing construction inspections for quality control. Coordinating permitting and make ready process. Responding to customer concerns. Communicating with leadership regarding concerns about construction progress. Skills, knowledge, and expertise required include: Four years of network construction management experience in the fiber optic or cable TV industry. Experience working across departments to foster strong working relationships. Knowledge of fiber and coaxial network construction techniques. Knowledge of underground and aerial network construction. Ability to prioritize and organize effectively. Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks. Ability to manage emergencies and rapidly changing priorities. Ability to supervise and motivate others. Familiarity and compliance with safety standards. Ability to work independently. Ability to read general to complex system layouts from blueprints. Knowledge of basic mathematics and electronics. Knowledge of National Electric Code and National Electrical Safety Code. Bachelor's degree (B.S.) and/or related experience. Computer skills: Microsoft software.
