McCall-Thomas Engineering Company, Inc. is seeking a mid-level, full-time Construction Coordinator.

McCall-Thomas Engineering is a multi-faceted engineering firm serving clients through Communications Engineering, Civil and Electrical Engineering and Design, Electric Utility Maintenance Services, Electric Field Operations & UAS, as well as the McT Learning Center and Print Services.
The key responsibilities of a McCall-Thomas Engineering Construction Coordinator will be to provide technical and logistical support to the Construction Management team. This employee will oversee all phases of the project's construction lifecycle from planning and procurement to onsite inspections and material logistics; ensuring alignment with engineering specifications, regulatory requirements, safety standards, and budget constraints.
Responsibilities will include the following:
Develop and manage project estimates Coordinate internal teams with contractors to meet project milestones Support the coordination of contractor activities, ensuring alignment with project schedules and requirements Share drawings, permits, and construction docs to external stakeholders and contractors via Sharepoint Coordinate with supply chain team and manage procurement schedules Conduct material inspections Process invoices Process change orders Provide support in budgeting, invoicing, and cost tracking for project expenses Conduct regular site inspections to verify work progress, safety, quality and adherence to design standards Ensure compliance with all utility, state and federal regulations as well as contractor compliance with safety standards and documentation. Facilitate responses to contractor requests for information Share drawings, permits, and construction docs to external stakeholders and contractors via Sharepoint Travel Requirements: Travel to project sites is required on average 1-2 days per week. Some weeks may require more or less days of travel. Most project locations are within 2.5 hours of the Moncks Corner office. Company vehicles and equipment will be provided for work travel and activity Overnight travel may be required for 1-2 weeks out of the year. Must be able to navigate remote and rugged terrain as part of site visits. Qualifications: Associate's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration or a related field preferred, or (or equivalent experience). Prior work experience in project coordination, administrative support, or contractor management within the utility or construction sector. Familiarity with transmission line construction processes and industry standards. Knowledge of regulatory requirements such as NERC, FERC, and OSHA. Valid SC driver's license required, and ability to safely operate off-road vehicles and watercraft preferred Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Proficiency in project management software and office applications. Eligibility to work in the US with no sponsorship requirements Preferred Qualifications: PMP or CCM OSHA 30 or equivalent training Knowledge of NESC, NEC, IEEE and utility safety and quality standards Experience working with electric utilities or transmission line projects Knowledge of budgeting and cost tracking for construction projects Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment Work Environment & Physical Requirements: Combination of office and field work, including exposure to outdoor construction sites Ability to work in various weather conditions and navigate uneven terrain Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. as required for site visits What We Offer:
