Est. Pay Rate: $25.00 - $35.00/hr + H&W Rate + Per Diem is offered for all travel.
Work Type: On Site in Central USA (Different locations)
Schedule: Mon-Fri. -- 7am-4pm (approx.)
Work Location: 100% field work - in CENTRAL US
Overview/ Responsibilities:
Construction Engineer Technician:
Our client is looking for an amazingly talented Airfield Traffic Systems Construction Technician to join their team! In this role you will get to perform installation of navigational aids, communications systems, and weather monitoring equipment on airfields across the United States National Air Space (NAS).
What You’ll Be Doing:
•This position works as part of a construction and installation crew installing new or upgrading existing equipment and systems such as navigational aids, air traffic telecommunications systems, and weather monitoring equipment.
•The Construction Technician completes projects on airports and at remote facilities in various environments such as on active airfields.
•Work will involve civil construction tasks such as excavation, installation, and finishing of small to medium sized concrete foundations, trenching and duct bank installation, minor grading and civil site preparation tasks.
•Work also includes supporting teammates with construction and installation of equipment shelters, electrical racks and equipment, pulling and connecting power and control cables, exothermic welding for grounding and bonding of systems, and other similar tasks.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
•Candidate must have extensive experience operating heavy equipment such as small excavators, skid loaders, personnel lifts, etc.
•Candidate should have experience with duct banks, manholes, steel racks, towers and poles, surveying, concrete work, excavation equipment operations, and airfield systems.
•Candidate must be familiar with construction quality and safety best practices.
•Candidate must be able to read, interpret, and implement project drawings, specifications, and client orders and standards.
•Candidate should have experience with the use of basic electrical test equipment and concrete quality control requirements.
•100% travel is required throughout the United States, its territories and possessions, and anywhere federally owned and operated air traffic equipment is operated.
•Must be able to meet customer security requirements. A background check by the federal authorities will be performed.
•Must be able to pass fleet driver motor vehicle history check as well as DOT physical requirements.
•5 plus years of experience required.
•High school diploma required. Post high school education such as trade school or professional certification(s) is preferred.
