The Construction & Engineering Project Manager at Micron Technology is responsible for leading all aspects of an assigned project to include clarifying and detailing the scope, schedule, and budget! This Project Manager will ensure that the resources needed for a successful project are available and coordinated into the project team! In addition, this position will be responsible for implementing project coordination of all vital project controls to meet the project objectives and ensure team safety. Responsibilities: Ensures project team members use job hazard analysis (JHA/JSA) for work being performed Creates and ensures the project team follows all safety and environmental procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws including PPE, CoHE (lockout/tagout) and chemical safety Partners with key team members to develop solutions to continuously improve critical metrics Coordinates with partners and leaders on issues and changes, and provides regular status updates Performs project cost estimates, forecasts, project cash flows and capital budget acquisition and controls project spending against approved budget Uses a systematic project management methodology to develop, prioritize and lead projects Defines and leads sophisticated, multi-disciplinary construction projects of critical importance to Micron Collaborates with Procurement and Global Facilities to run competitive bidding processes aligned to selected project strategy Leads project financials and supervises performance to budget and work in place Handles project roadblocks that arise such as routing, timing, or labor issues Minimum Qualifications: Relevant degree or appropriate certification/licensing; Engineering, Construction Management or Project Management 5+ years of experience as a primary project manager for highly technical construction projects Experience leading all aspects of an assigned project to include clarifying and detailing the scope, schedule, and budget Preferred Qualifications: Certification in Business Process Management such as the PMP Experience in the Semiconductor Industry Micron is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and is an affirmative action employer.
