Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Construction Equipment Painter & Detailer with mechanical aptitude to join our team. This position is responsible for prepping, painting, detailing, and assisting with light mechanical work on a variety of heavy equipment, including tractors, excavators, loaders, and more. Ideal candidates will take pride in their work, have a strong eye for detail, and be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare surfaces of construction equipment for painting (sanding, masking, cleaning)
  • Apply primers and paint using spray equipment and other tools
  • Detail equipment for resale or customer delivery (cleaning, polishing, touch-ups)
  • Inspect finished work for quality and completeness
  • Assist with light mechanical tasks such as replacing parts, fluids, or attachments
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Operate forklifts or equipment to move machines in and out of the shop (training provided if needed)
  • Perform basic maintenance on painting tools and spray equipment
  • Follow safety procedures and use appropriate PPE at all times

Requirements:

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in painting, bodywork, detailing, or mechanical work required
  • Ability to mix and apply paint using HVLP or conventional spray equipment
  • Knowledge of surface prep techniques and paint safety practices
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to assist in basic mechanical repairs
  • Attention to detail and a high standard of workmanship
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in shop conditions (dust, heat, paint fumes)
  • Valid driver’s license required; CDL is a plus but not required
  • Forklift experience is a plus (or willingness to learn)
