Construction Estimating Analyst

Overview Cordoba Corporation is a leading engineering and design firm based in California. We are seeking a Construction Estimating Analyst to support our Education & Facilities Sector. A Construction Estimating Analyst plays a vital role in assessing and managing construction costs by researching market trends, analyzing prevailing wages, and maintaining updated material cost indexes. They support cost estimators in comparative analyses, review contractor claims for accuracy, and evaluate construction life cycle costs to ensure financial accountability. Additionally, they conduct cost-benefit analyses, provide insights into bid comparisons, and generate reports on construction cost trends. The ideal candidate must have at least three years of experience in cost estimating and data analysis. Responsibilities Generates and updates Prevailing Wage table per current market trends Research, collects, and updates construction material costs and indexes Assists cost estimators in various comparison analysis on construction cost estimates Assists in reviewing contractors' claims and proposals for accountability Reviews analysis of construction life cycle costs Prepares and conduct cost benefit analysis Provides support in construction costs and bid review and comparisons Conducts research on recent cost and price changes in supplies and services Prepares special reports and research pertaining to construction cost trends and activities Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management or any related field OR Candidates without the required degree must have additional 4 years of the required experience to compensate for the education requirements Minimum three (3) years of full-time paid professional experience in cost estimating AND data analysis Minimum two (2) years' experience in public agencies performing related duties assigned Experience in developing, organizing and maintaining cost data tables Knowledge of science research and analytical methods Ability to analyze construction cost trends and generate graphs, database, and reports and prepare presentations for stakeholders Ability to compare the cost estimates with contractor proposals or bids to identify significant differences and probable causes for the discrepancies Ability to work independently and without supervision Excellent research and analytical skills Excellent oral and written communication skills Salary Range: $106,400 - $120,000 per year Location: Los Angeles, CA Work Environment: Onsite Our Company Cordoba Corporation, Making a Difference Cordoba Corporation is a leading civil engineering, construction management, program management, and planning firm.
