Construction Estimator- Heavy Civil/Sitework

Civil Construction- Site work- Utility Construction- Excavation- Bridge/ Highway Construction An established Heavy Civil and Site Development Construction contractor in the Philadelphia area is actively looking to add an experienced estimator to the team. The salary is competitive and commensurate with the level of experience.

Qualifications: Approximately four (4) or more years’ experience as an estimator in a heavy civil construction, sitework/excavation or highway & bridge contractor focused construction work

Ability to read and understand blueprints

Must possess strong communication skills written, electronic and verbal

Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office and related programs

BS Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, a plus or industry specific experience

Prior experience with PennDOT specifications & standards desired Responsibilities included but not limited to: Perform quantity take-offs and turnkey estimates for heavy construction projects (Sitework, Excavation, Heavy/Highway, Heavy Civil projects, Roadway, Bridge, and Utility infrastructure projects etc.)

Competitive and in accordance with company policies, guidelines, and budgetary goals

Heavy highway /Sitework construction practices, techniques, and principles

Estimating techniques, cost control, and material pricing

Industry estimating software experience (HCSS, Agtek, Bid2Win software)

Take-offs, bid submissions, budget preparation
