*POSITION OVERVIEW*

The Construction Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate, detailed cost estimates for new construction and remodel projects. This role requires strong technical knowledge of plumbing systems, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with both internal teams and external clients. The ideal candidate will help ensure we win profitable projects while maintaining our high standards of quality and customer service.

*KEY RESPONSIBILITIES*

*Estimating & Proposal Development*

* Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents to prepare comprehensive plumbing estimates. * Perform material take-offs, labor cost projections, and equipment pricing. * Solicit and analyze quotes from vendors and subcontractors. * Develop clear, detailed, and competitive proposals for clients.

*Project Coordination*

* Work closely with project managers and field supervisors to confirm scope and feasibility. * Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client consultations as needed. * Ensure estimates align with project timelines and resource availability.

*Cost Control & Analysis*

* Track and maintain cost databases for materials, labor, and equipment. * Review actual job costs against estimates to improve accuracy over time. * Recommend cost-effective alternatives without compromising quality.

*QUALIFICATIONS*

* 3+ years of estimating experience in plumbing, mechanical, or related construction trades. * Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, materials, and installation practices. * Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Procore, Bluebeam or similar programs preferred. * Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. * Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills. * Strong math and analytical abilities with keen attention to detail. * Willingness to travel up to 5% for project needs.
