Estimator – Ground-Up Multifamily Construction

Ground-Up Multifamily Projects | Full-Time | $110,000 – $150,000 (DOE)

We’re recruiting on behalf of a respected, family-owned General Contractor with more than 50 years of success delivering high-quality construction projects across the Southeast. Headquartered in Greenville, South Carolina , they’re known for their strong culture, relationship-first mindset, and deep expertise in multifamily development.

As their project pipeline continues to grow, they’re looking to bring on a talented Estimator to join their preconstruction team at their Greenville office.

The Role

As Estimator, you’ll be instrumental in shaping the early stages of large-scale multifamily developments. You’ll provide accurate, competitive estimates and collaborate across departments to ensure every project is positioned for success from day one.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop detailed cost estimates for ground-up multifamily projects

Review construction documents and specs to prepare accurate quantity takeoffs and bid packages

Identify and analyze cost factors, such as materials, labor, and equipment

Evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids

Work with project managers and leadership to align budgets, schedules, and scopes

Maintain current cost databases and historical pricing records

Participate in value engineering, project handoffs, and pre-bid meetings

What We’re Looking For

5+ years of estimating experience , ideally with a focus on ground-up multifamily or commercial projects

Strong knowledge of construction systems, materials, and methods

Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, OST, or equivalent )

Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills

Strong communication, analytical, and organizational abilities

Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines

Team-oriented with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
