Staxmatic is seeking a Construction Estimator with a strong background in commercial Mechanical and Plumbing systems. This role is essential in managing preconstruction activities—from drawing review and system takeoffs to finalizing and submitting detailed, competitive proposals. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to a collaborative estimating team. Benefits: Pay: Up to $70,000 based on experience Monday–Friday schedule Medical, Dental, and Vision health insurance options Hospital and Identity Theft coverage Voluntary STD, Life, and Accident Coverage 401K and HSA with company match Basic Life, Long-Term Disability, and AD&D Insurance at no cost Pay Card option Weekly pay with online pay stub access 24/7 office support Duties and Responsibilities: Review project drawings and specifications in detail to understand scope, materials, and labor requirements Perform Mechanical and plumbing system takeoffs, creating precise cost assessments for equipment, materials, and labor Join internal meetings to communicate project scope and takeoff strategies Track and incorporate addenda, scope changes, and clarifications throughout the bid process Evaluate vendor quotes; ensure full coverage of all project components Maintain organized estimating files and tools to support accuracy and efficiency Qualifications and Skills: 3+ years of experience in mechanical or plumbing estimating for commercial construction Strong knowledge of construction processes, documentation, and terminology Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimating tools (e.g., Bluebeam, Procore, or similar platforms) Ability to interpret complex MEP plans and specifications with attention to detail Why Join Staxmatic?
