About the Role: A well-established and family-focused commercial contractor is seeking a Commercial Estimator with 5+ years of experience in commercial construction estimating. This is a key opportunity to join a tight-knit team working on diverse projects, including ground-up municipal buildings and creative private renovations.You’ll be instrumental in preparing accurate, competitive bids, collaborating closely with project teams, and ensuring estimates align with quality standards and client expectations. Key Responsibilities:

Perform detailed quantity take-offs and full estimates for private and municipal projects Read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP plans/specs Solicit, evaluate, and level subcontractor/vendor proposals Develop bid scopes and ensure alignment with project requirements Collaborate with Project Managers and Superintendents during preconstruction Analyze project costs and identify value engineering options Prepare conceptual budgets, hard bids, and GMP estimates Maintain and update estimating templates, historical data, and unit pricing Attend pre-bid site walks and meetings as needed

What You’ll Bring:

5+ years of commercial construction estimating experience Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and sequencing Proficient in Bluebeam, PlanSwift/On-Screen Takeoff, and Excel Ability to read and understand plans/specs thoroughly Strong organizational and time management skills—manage multiple estimates at once Clear, professional communication skills (written & verbal)
