*Your Role: Construction Estimator*

As a Construction Estimator, you will be responsible for creating accurate, detailed cost projections and scopes of work for residential and light commercial construction projects. You’ll collaborate closely with the Pre-Construction and Design teams to ensure alignment across planning, budgeting, and execution phases. Your attention to detail and understanding of labor, materials, and market trends will help guide successful project outcomes from day one.

*Key Responsibilities*

* Develop detailed estimates and budgets based on architectural drawings, specifications, and scope * Collaborate with Project Managers, Designers, and Leadership to align estimates with project goals and timelines * Analyze project plans and identify potential cost savings, conflicts, or value engineering opportunities * Research and recommend subcontractors and vendors based on quality, budget, and availability * Support the standardization of estimating systems, templates, and cost code tracking * Participate in pre-construction handoffs and provide insight during project setup and planning

*What We’re Looking For*

* 3–5+ years of experience in construction estimating (residential and/or light commercial preferred) * Proficiency with estimating software and construction management tools (e.g., Buildertrend, CoConstruct, PlanSwift, Excel) * Strong understanding of construction means, methods, and materials * Excellent attention to detail, organization, and documentation * Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate across departments * A proactive, problem-solving mindset and commitment to accuracy and integrity * Familiarity with Maine's construction market and pricing trends (a plus)
