Reports to: General Manager
Job Overview Gana-A'Yoo, Limited (GYL) is seeking a Construction Estimator/Project Manager to join our team working in the National Capital Region. The role involves financial functions such as costing, estimating, budgeting, auditing, forecasting, and analysis, focusing on government projects including construction, staffing, and environmental work.
Responsibilities
Participate in client scoping sessions and produce detailed estimates and narratives to negotiate contracts.
Utilize various estimating templates, including MS Excel and specialized software like e4Clicks/RS Means.
Prepare subcontractor bid packages, select subcontractors, and oversee activities.
Review submittals, shop drawings, and ensure construction compliance.
Generate reports, schedules, and manage multiple projects effectively.
Coordinate with federal government clients to ensure project success and satisfaction.
Manage and execute construction contracts responsibly.
Maintain up-to-date as-builts and participate in safety programs.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field preferred; extensive experience may substitute.
At least 10 years of experience in engineering, construction, or related fields with project management and estimating focus.
Experience with Federal projects required.
Proficiency in estimating, cost control, and scheduling software.
Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
Strong work ethic, enthusiasm, and commitment to client satisfaction.
Ability to pass background and drug screening.
