*Summary*
We are seeking a Foreman to join our team at Structural Waterproofing and Restoration that is willing to travel. In this role, you will oversee construction projects, ensuring that all work is completed efficiently and to the highest standards. Your leadership will be crucial in maintaining project timelines and quality.
As a Foreman, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating daily construction activities under the direction of the Superintendent, and/or Project Manager. You will be responsible for leading a team of Journeymen, Apprentices, and Laborers, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards, while bridging the gap between workers and supervisors.
* *Supervise and Direct:* Oversee and manage the work of crew members, providing guidance and support to ensure tasks are completed according to plans and timelines.
* *Coordinate Activities:* Coordinate tasks with the Foreman and other supervisors, ensuring smooth workflow and effective communication among team members.
* *Maintain Safety:* Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and conduct regular safety meetings to promote a safe working environment.
* *Manage Resources:* Assist in managing labor and resources, ensuring materials and equipment are available and used efficiently.
* *Monitor Progress and Quality:* Monitor project progress, make necessary adjustments, and ensure all installations and tasks meet quality standards.
* *Resolve Issues:* Act as a point of contact between workers and supervisors, relaying instructions and helping to resolve issues that arise during construction.
* *Document and Report:* Maintain accurate documentation, including daily logs, timesheets, material requisitions, and safety information.
* *Blueprints and Layout:* Interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications to perform accurate layout and installations, and ensure compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
* *On-site Presence:* Be present on-site, actively participating in and overseeing daily operations and potentially performing hands-on work as needed.
Required skills and qualifications
* Proven experience in a construction-related role with demonstrated leadership ability.
* Strong understanding of construction techniques, methods, and safety protocols.
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and effectively manage multiple tasks.
* Problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
* Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects and operating equipment.
* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
* Familiarity with relevant regulations, such as OSHA requirements.
Preferred qualifications
* Formal education or certifications in construction management or a related field.
* Experience with project management software.
Working conditions
* Work is primarily outdoors, exposed to varying weather conditions and noise levels.
* Must be able to work at heights, in restricted areas, and in various construction site environments.
* May require working long hours, including nights and weekends, as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 - 70 per week
