Diagnose, adjust, repair hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment, such as excavators, bulldozers, graders, conveyors, trucks, end dumps, etc. used in demolition/civil.
- Draining the oil from equipment and replacing it to manufacturer specifications
- Topping off other fluids, including brake, power steering and windshield wiper fluid
- Inspecting the engine block and underbody for leaks and potential issues
- Checking tire pressure and filling tires with air as needed to manufacturer specifications
- Installing new parts, such as air filters, oil filters, windshield wipers and batteries
- Lubricating moving parts as necessary, including those in the engine and wheel bearings and ensuring the engine is kept clean throughout servicing
- Diagnosing existing issues and consulting with the Shop/Equipment Manager to address issues
- Verbal and written communication to the Shop/Equipment Manager
- High School/GED
- 1 to 5 years of experience in related field
- Strong communication skills and problem-solving ability
- Self-motivated, organized, detailed oriented and flexible to help where needed
- CDL and HazMat certified/or willing to obtain HazMat certification
