Description
About the Position: Join us in the exciting role of providing a Senior Construction Project Manager to provide technical services for the VA Healthcare System, Bay Pines, FL. The PM will provide comprehensive construction management support services to the VA Bay Pines FM office for an upgrade to the telecommunication infrastructure of the entire Bay Pines, FL, campus. Job Type: Full-time, 1 year with 4 option years.
*This role focuses on telecommunication infrastructure; therefore, this type of experience is required *This position requires a construction background and computer proficiency. Construction QA experience is required. * This is a one-year project with four optional additional years.
Job Type: COA - Contingent on the award of this project
Essential Functions: Performs field inspections to evaluate the work performed and materials used. Verifies quality of workmanship, quality of materials used, and compliance with plans, specifications, estimates, and applicable codes and regulations. Notes deficiencies and deviations from plans; refers serious problems and disagreements in interpretation to the Chief, Projects. Maintains, updates, and assures the accuracy of inspection records, project documentation, and project files. Requirements
Education: Associate's degree or graduate of an accredited Trade School or a formal construction apprenticeship program. Educational requirements may be substituted by 14 years of directly related experience. Professional Experience: 10 years of experience in construction inspection and contractor oversight activities associated with facilities (i.e., buildings, structures, equipment, systems, etc.) construction and implementation. Familiarity with handling RFI, change orders, submittal logs, etc. Field knowledge of safety, scheduling, and cost control is essential. Professional experience should also include the ability to read and interpret construction documents. Proficiency in Building and other codes and permitting requirements. Required Qualifications: NACI Clearance (or the ability to obtain it) Complete and pass a tuberculosis (TB) screening test within 90 days Strong analytical and communication skills Proficiency in computers and Microsoft Office Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Department of Veterans Affairs projects and procedures Familiarity with quality control processes and reporting Experience in healthcare environments Experience in telecommunication construction
Salary Description $50,000.00 - $75,000.00
