Construction Laborer - Firewatch (2 Month Contract) This role involves being stationed near hot work areas to detect and prevent any potential sparks, slag, or heat sources from igniting fires. You will also be responsible for staying on-site for 30 minutes after welding or cutting operations to detect or extinguish any possible smoldering. Responsibilities Monitor areas where hot work is performed to detect and prevent fire hazards. Stay on-site for 30 minutes after welding or cutting to ensure no smoldering occurs. Communicate effectively with team members to maintain a safe work environment. Maintain awareness of environmental factors and weather conditions that may affect fire behavior. Essential Skills Proficiency in MIG welding techniques. Strong observational skills. Effective communication abilities. Understanding of fire behavior and safety protocols. Attention to detail and safety awareness. Ability to work collaboratively in a team. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience operating a scissor lift. Work Environment Work at Sam's Club during night shifts from 9 PM to 7 AM, with a 30-minute meal break, from Sunday to Thursday. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of San Bernardino and Corona, California. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
