Construction Laborer

We are seeking a dedicated Construction Laborer to join our team in a role that involves general labor, heavy construction, digging, and site work. This position plays a crucial part in our ongoing projects, ensuring smooth operations and contributing to the community's development.

Responsibilities

• Monitor quarry crusher machines and conveyor belts, sorting out metal and plastic debris from the crushed stone.
• Maintain and organize the shop and garage.
• Power wash and rinse the tires of outgoing trucks.
• Help load and unload materials from trucks.
• Uphold site safety regulations.

Essential Skills

• Experience in site work and concrete construction.
• Ability to perform heavy construction tasks and general labor.
• Proficiency in operating equipment and machinery.
• Capability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Familiarity with mechanical and diesel operations.
• Experience in testing, inspection, and sampling.

Work Environment

This role operates within an 80-acre quarry in Prospect Park, NJ, specializing in recycling and resale of aggregates for construction materials. The work environment includes running crusher machines, sorting debris, and working with a skilled team. The position requires working from 7am to 3pm, with a focus on maintaining site safety and efficiency.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Prospect Park, New Jersey.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
