Construction Litigation Special Counsel Attorney

Litigation Special Counsel – Miami, Orlando, or Tampa Direct Counsel is seeking a Litigation Special Counsel to join a reputable national law firm with a strong presence in Florida. This full-time, non-partner track position will support the firm’s Construction Practice Group and is based in Miami, Orlando, or Tampa . This role is ideal for a skilled litigator with 2 to 7 years of experience who is confident handling a high volume of cases, many of which are resolved through arbitration rather than traditional court proceedings. The position demands a self-driven attorney with a strong command of litigation tasks and the ability to work independently. Key Responsibilities: Manage a robust caseload involving construction and design defect claims, insurance litigation, and related matters. Conduct discovery, draft motions, argue motions in court or arbitration, and participate in mediations and settlements. Prepare for and attend depositions and contribute to trial strategy. Collaborate with and oversee paralegals and support staff when appropriate. Preferred Experience: Background in construction litigation, design defect disputes, or insurance claims. Demonstrated experience in arbitration, mediation, and courtroom advocacy. Strong legal research, writing, organizational, and time management skills. A track record of resolving matters through effective negotiation and settlement. Qualifications: JD from an ABA-accredited law school. Active and in good standing with the Florida Bar . Strong academic credentials and litigation experience required. Compensation & Benefits: Salary range: $130,000 – $140,000, based on experience, education, and other job-related factors.
