Job details Proactively solicits new residential mortgage business and cross sells additional credit union products. Identifies, develops and maintains a quality network of business relationships that serves as a recurring source of referrals for new mortgage and construction lending opportunities. These networks may consist of Real Estate Agents, Builders, Title Companies, professional and personal contacts. Responsibilities:
- Conduct interviews with prospective borrowers in order to analyze financial and credit data, determine member financing objectives, advise members of product/pricing, and gather any additional required information.
- Develop and maintain successful referral sources.
- Actively participate in community functions and credit union-sponsored events to promote the credit unions objectives.
- Provide complete loan applications to fulfillment center.
- Ensure exceptional member service by overseeing the loan process from origination to closing and conduct ongoing communication with members.
- Interview prospective borrowers regarding residential construction loans and provide prospective borrowers with available lending options available based on information collected.
- Achieve production goals as established by the Credit Union.
- Communicate ongoing loan activity with VP / Mortgage Loan Manager and management as requested for accurate analysis of loans in progress.
- Maintain current and thorough knowledge of lending programs, policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Manage a portfolio of mortgage loans, including delinquencies, renewals, refinances, modifications, and cross-sale opportunities.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
- Experience in processing residential construction loans preferred.
- Experience with mortgage loan origination system such as MortgageBot, Ellie Mae, or FICS preferred.
- Associate degree in business or finance preferred.

Qualifications:
- Meet National Mortgage Licensing System requirements.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Three to five years of experience in real estate lending required.
