Our Power Division is growing, and we are seeking a highly skilled *Construction Manager* to oversee multiple projects from planning to completion.
*Position Summary* The *Construction Manager* will ensure all Power Division projects are executed safely, in compliance with site owner requirements, and to the highest quality standards. This role involves coordinating and scheduling people, materials, and projects, while maintaining oversight of multiple worksites simultaneously.
*Key Responsibilities*
* Maintain physical and remote oversight of multiple Power projects at once. * Conduct bid walks, pre-construction meetings, and lead communications with site owners. * Manage project schedules and manpower needs; pre-schedule and deploy crews to meet deadlines. * Audit, monitor, and correct site safety, equipment inspections, company-issued tools, vehicles, housekeeping, climbing gear, and PPE; partner with the SHE&Q Manager for long-term improvements. * Track and report crew efficiency metrics to leadership; implement corrective actions where needed. * Manage subcontractor performance, compliance, and deliverables; assist in qualification/disqualification decisions; report deficiencies to leadership. * Ensure compliance with all applicable local ordinances and permitting requirements. * Monitor and address “scope creep” to protect the financial health of projects; escalate concerns to the Director. * Maintain professional, timely, and clear written and verbal communications internally and externally.
*Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities*
* Expert knowledge of Power / Telecommunications construction and troubleshooting. * Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage people and expectations professionally. * Solid understanding of construction management processes and best practices. * Ability to identify and resolve workflow and scheduling issues effectively. * OSHA 30 certification. * Clean motor vehicle record (MVR) to maintain insurability. * Working knowledge of NESC, NEC, and OSHA standards. * Proficiency in MS Office Suite, server-based file management, and Microsoft OneDrive.
*Education & Experience*
* High school diploma or GED required; additional technical or management training preferred. * 7–10 years of field-based experience in the Power industry. * Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including at remote and difficult-to-reach sites. * Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly and 75 lbs. occasionally without assistance. * Ability to bend, reach, twist, and kneel occasionally as job duties require.
