About the position
As a Construction Manager at Tesla, you will play a critical role in managing and executing construction projects from inception to completion. This position involves close collaboration with various departments including Project Management, Infrastructure Engineering, and Manufacturing Engineering, ensuring that all on-site construction activities are effectively supervised and aligned with project specifications and timelines.
Responsibilities
Develop project scopes for execution across Mechanical, Process, and Plumbing scopes.
Lead construction and startup systems, review designs for constructability, and quickly resolve technical barriers.
Monitor project costs and expenses, comparing actuals against the budget while identifying cost-saving opportunities and suggesting value engineering alternatives.
Track and review contractor invoices.
Create, manage, update, and enforce overall project schedule based on project documents.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, local authorities, industry standards, and codes.
Communicate and coordinate with all project stakeholders from contractors, Design/Engineering, and QA/Commissioning teams.
Requirements
Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent industry experience.
5 years of experience in commercial or industrial construction project management.
Strong knowledge of construction practices, codes, regulations, and safety protocols.
Ability to problem solve, multitask, and prioritize project objectives.
Experience managing projects in large manufacturing or industrial environments.
