As a Construction Manager, you will lead the delivery of high-performance retrofit and infrastructure projects that integrate mechanical systems, building management systems ( BMS ), lighting efficiency, and general construction. You will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of construction activities, ensuring alignment with client goals, sustainability targets, and operational excellence. Meets all professional and legal requirements for performing the work assigned. Out-of-state travel may range up to 30%.

Project Leadership & Execution

Manage construction projects from planning through commissioning, with a focus on mechanical retrofits, BMS controls, and lighting upgrades. Oversee site operations, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence. Leverage Mantis' enterprise-wide digital platforms to drive performance insights, enable smart system integration, and ensure delivery excellence. Lead project teams consisting of architects, design engineers, general and specialty contractors, property management, operating engineers, environmental consultants, client project management team, client security, and client technology teams to deliver integrated solutions. Support and organize projects with Project Managers, if applicable, and maintain POC for customers during the entire project Become the primary POC for the client as needed, working within their team and ours to exceed expectations and ensure successful project delivery. Proactively address project challenges, including financial and operational issues, to ensure seamless client experience and transparency. Interact with internal team members including sales support, marketing, strategic account executives, sales executives, fellow project managers, subject matter experts, and senior management as needed. Project Management Serve as the trusted advisor and primary point of contact for clients, ensuring transparent communication and responsive service throughout the project lifecycle. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align project outcomes with client sustainability targets, decarbonization strategies, and smart infrastructure objectives. Identify and implement innovative approaches to retrofit design, smart building integration, and continuous performance improvement. Manage multiple projects at various phases and in various locations, from project identification through design, planning, client approval, and financial closeout. Demonstrate full accountability for "cradle to grave" management of projects. Creates and executes project and delivery schedules and revisions as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements. Identifies the resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities to members of the project team. Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope. Champion the deployment of smart building technologies, IoT-enabled systems, and energy-efficient solutions aligned with Mantis' sustainability goals. Identify upselling opportunities and work with Account Managers to sell additional scope. Financial & Administrative Oversight Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resource plans. Ensure accurate documentation, predictive reporting, and initiative-taking financial forecasting using Mantis' performance platforms. Support invoicing, revenue recognition, and financial compliance in close coordination with project accounting and delivery teams. Works with Project Accountant to ensure appropriate revenue recognition, ensures timely and accurate invoicing, accurate cash, and revenue forecasting, and assists with receivables for project if needed. Manages project budget. Analyzes project profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates and utilization. Oversee and prepare accurate project documentation for all phases of project including project set-up form, budgets, schedules, tracking progress, meeting minutes, financial funding requests, and status reports on time and following pre-established formats to pass all project documentation reviews with client. Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately. MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 12+ years of project management experience across engineering, construction, or technical system projects. Strong understanding of retrofit strategies, BMS integration, and lighting technologies. Able to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and project documents. Familiar with field installation practices and coordinating technical infrastructure. Experience with system testing, troubleshooting, and quality assurance. Skilled in working with cross-functional teams, including contractors, engineers, and clients. Strong organizational and communication skills; detail-oriented and hands-on. Proficient in Microsoft Office and project tools; PMP or similar certification is a plus. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. Current Registered Roof Observer, Registered Roof Consultant and/or LEED accreditation PMP, LEED AP, or equivalent certification. Experience with smart building platforms and commissioning protocols

$115,000 - $145,000 a year
