A leading civil-geotechnical engineering firm in the Charlotte area is seeking a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Technician for a long-term opportunity. This role will involve field-based testing, inspections, and construction observations related to soil, concrete, grout, mortar, and asphalt.

Responsibilities: Perform site visits to conduct field testing and general inspections per project specifications Test and evaluate soil, concrete, asphalt, and other materials Operate and maintain nuclear density gauge and other testing equipment Clean, maintain, and calibrate equipment to meet industry standards Review civil and structural drawings for inspection purposes Submit detailed daily field reports Follow instructions and safety procedures carefully Drive company-provided vehicle to project sites

Requirements: Minimum of ~ 2 years of experience in construction materials testing ACI Field Level 1 Certification (Concrete Testing) – Required Experience operating a nuclear density gauge – Required High School Diploma or equivalent Valid Driver’s License Strong communication and reporting skills Proficient with computers for data entry and reporting Ability to pass a background check (7-year) and drug screen
