Allen Refractories Company is seeking to fill the fulltime position of Construction Project Planner - Safety Coordinator

The Successful Candidate should possess a minimum of one year of Industrial Construction (preferably refractory) experience and demonstrate the ability to maintain strong relationships with Construction Supervisory Personnel as well with Client Representatives for both existing and new Industrial accounts.

*Safety Coordinator Responsibilities* - Include but are not limited to the following:

Evaluate, assess, and alter safety procedures and policies for the benefit of employees, Allen Refractories Company, and clients

Research and implement new construction safety procedures and policies

Review and approve Job Specific Work Safety Plans

Lead investigation and analyzation of incident reports and evaluate injury case studies based on available facts

Perform Regular inspection of tools and equipment for defective issues

Prepare, Schedule, and conduct safety training sessions for employees and subcontractors

Visit job sites to conduct safety audits on personnel, equipment, and materials

Ensure compliance with all regulatory bodies and standards (including OSHA, MSHA, DOT & EPA)

Research environmental regulations and policies and institute changes to ensure compliance

Maintain employee compliance training records

Maintain compliance with client's contractor management programs

*Critical Thinking skills are imperative *

*Some travel, including overnight stays, required *

*Preferred Education and Experience* BS/BA/ AS in Industrial Technology - Construction Management

or a minimum of one year of Commercial or Industrial Construction experience

or a Military Service Veteran.

Pay: $38,000.00 - $68,000.00 per year
