HDR is seeking experienced Construction Program Managers for a major program located at our client sites in Pompano Beach or Orlando, FL.
Primary Responsibilities:
Serves as point of contact and project lead for multiple projects (major and/or minor). Works with leader to assign projects within the squad Projects assigned based on technical ability and experience Classifications could include PM2 as point of contact on large, mid, and small projects and PM3 as point of contact on more complex, larger projects Serves as a mentor to Assistant Program Managers and receives mentorship from Leader Participates in plans review, focused on constructability and high risk Provides risk management and issue resolution leadership Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or closely related field 10 years related experience in various aspects of construction including estimating, bidding, preparing purchase orders and subcontracts, scheduling, and field engineering Professional Engineer (PE) license Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); Bluebeam, estimating & scheduling software, and web-based document collaboration software Experience developing and managing construction engineering and inspection programs Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering Registration in the State of Florida 10 years of engineering experience in major road and/or bridge construction Experience with Florida Turnpike and/or FDOT a benefit 5 years of project and/or program management experience Ability to direct highly complex and specialized construction engineering administration and inspection program Ability to plan and organize the work of subordinate and staff members Ability to develop, review, and implement policies, methods, practices, and procedures. Ability to provide regular updates on the trends and successful outcomes, budgeting, and forecasting of activities Ability to review programs for conformance with Department standards Qualifications
Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Planning, Sciences, Business Administration, or a closely related field Program management experience consistent with one of the following requirements: A minimum of three (3) years of program management experience in a deputy role to the Program Manager for the delivery of one or more programs, with a cumulative capital value of $200 million or more, or; A minimum of five (5) years of program management experience as a Project Manager or Project Controls Manager for the delivery of one or more programs, each with a capital value of $200 million or more, or; A minimum of ten (10) years of project management experience as a Project Manager directing a multi-disciplinary team for the delivery of at least two (2) projects, each with a capital value of $50 million or more Strong leadership skills with experience building a cohesive team culture and managing team members in various locations. Excellent communication skills. Comfortable presenting to client executives and in front of a large audience in a public setting Management experience with the implementation of projects or programs using alternative and collaborative delivery methods, including design-build (DB), progressive design-build (PDB), and/or construction management at-risk (CMAR) Familiar with the various tools used to manage large programs PMIS, CMIS, scheduling, cost control, document management, risk management, asset management, dashboard analytics, etc. An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
