Project Engineers at ICI are responsible for a wide range of responsibilities, both on-site and office based, from preconstruction through final closeout and must be willing to travel. Extended travel to project sites throughout the US may be required.
Some of the specific core responsibilities of a Project Engineer include:
Works with the Project Team to develop, drive and implement project goals
Participates in New Project Setup
Assists and supports the Project Manager in preparing and processing Owner and Vendor Contracts
Attends project meetings and prepares / distributes agendas and minutes in a timely manner
Receives and Processes Design Documents
Assists and supports the team developing site utilization programs
Monitors compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and policies
Assists and supports the team with procuring building permits and coordinating inspections
Maintains Project Directory
Maintains and coordinates submittal review, coordination, approval, and distribution of shop drawings, samples, etc.
Maintains and distributes all project files
Assists and supports the team with preparation and monitoring of RFIs
Maintains system to expedite construction materials, deliveries and equipment lists
Assists and supports the team with change events, vendor estimates and proposals
Prepares appropriate company estimates and proposals for changes
Manages the punch list process
Manages the Closeout Process
Maintains open, responsive, and professional communication and relationships with all team members
Maintains adherence to OSHA Standards of safety
Skills and Competencies:

Must have a valid drivers license
Ability to obtain the Walmart Safety, Employment, Waste, Stormwater Compliance Certification
OSHA 30 Hour Certification or an ability to obtain
Physical Requirements:
Position requires walking on rough/uneven terrain, frequent pushing/pulling/carrying of equipment/objects/debris of varying and often awkward sizes, shapes, and weights, including bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing on the job site.
Sitting, standing and walking for extended periods. Climbing multiple flights of stairs and ladders repeatedly.
Occasionally may lift to 50 lbs.
