Overview
Epstein is seeking a Project Engineer to be onsite at large construction projects throughout the United States. The Project Engineer supports the Site Superintendent and Project Manager in effectively coordinating job site activities in a manner that ensures successful project completion in the field through adherence to project schedules, budgets and quality objectives. Experience with diverse project types including large scale industrial projects such as warehouse/distribution, manufacturing and food processing facilities is a plus. Design-build experience is preferred, but not necessary.
General Responsibilities:
Develops, maintains and enhances client, subcontractor and vendor relationships
Assures construction schedules are maintained by trade contractors
Updates and reviews, as required, project and 3-week look ahead schedules, daily reports, safety checklists, and ensures onsite adherence to company policies
Coordinates the construction sequence of contractors for assigned trades
Maintains quality control by frequent and regular inspection of work in progress and completed projects
Prepares daily photos of construction progress
Maintains construction safety and administers company and OSHA compliance program
Supports and coordinates interface between design and field construction
Maintains updated set of site drawings
Prepares required field documentation and reports (monthly, weekly and daily)
Resolves field coordination issues among contractors
Desired Skills and Experience:
1-5 years of field experience on large projects for a General Contractor or Construction Manager
Bachelor's Degree in Construction, Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent experience
Working knowledge of field construction: systems, practices, safety and procedures
Working knowledge of general engineering principals and construction techniques, materials, methods, and sequencing
Knowledge of basic scheduling techniques (i.e., Critical Path Method)
Ability to interpret construction documents
Positive attitude and professional customer service skills
Strong interpersonal, communication, problem solving, initiative, and teamwork skills
Proficient in MS Office, MS Project, Procore (preferred)
30 hours OSHA certification (preferred)

Individual compensation is determined by several factors, including relevant education, experience and training, qualifications, skill sets, licensure/certifications and location. Employees are also eligible for discretionary annual bonuses based on both company and individual performance. The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $85,000 annually.
