We have a very exciting opportunity for a Construction Project Engineer to support management on federal government projects in and around state of California, Nevada & Arizona. GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:
Position will support primarily BORJA projects with Department of Defense (DoD) clients on federal facilities. This is a great opportunity for the ideal candidate who has proven experience, knowledge, ability to work well with a team, integrity and willing to be a leader on their assigned projects. Position is responsible for providing administration support to our Project Managers in managing Construction Projects from $1M to $20M in value size. Represent BORJA with integrity and assist in building a bridge of trust between our clients and BORJA.
· Responsible for providing support in the management of MULTIPLE projects from the estimate, budget, buyout, start up, progress and completion in every detail.
· This includes maintaining client relationships as well as subcontractor and vendor relations
· Assisting in Controlling and directing project performance in every detail from administration, contracts, costs, communication, schedule, Quality Control, Safety, Production, changes, technical/contractual compliance, invoicing, etc.
· Assisting in Providing meaningful insight into all projects assigned.
· This position requires the ability and willingness to work and communicate well with others professionally and in the best interest of our clients and the company.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Federal government project experience serving as lead project engineer on $1M to $5M construction projects. Design-build experience. BA or BS in engineering (civil) or Construction Management, Mechanical, Electrical, Structural related technical degree related to construction -NOT REQUIRED.

2 to 5 years construction related project management support experience on FEDERAL CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS.
Experienced in USACE & NAVFAC project protocols a PLUS.
Experience in on-site construction a plus
Must be proficient in MS Projects and/or Primavera P6 (Scheduling Software)
Must have a working knowledge of architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical civil and design practices and concepts, excellent working knowledge of current building codes and regulations.
Capable of effectively taking direction from Project Managers and following through to completion on those directives.
Must be organized, diligent and tenacious in executing tasks.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Products (Word, Excel, PPT, MS Projects, etc)
Must be able to multi-task, delegate and follow up relentlessly.
Must be able to interpret subcontract scopes of work and help negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
Must be able to prepare and submit budget estimates and progress cost tracking reports.
Coordinate and communicate regularly with corporate office, Directors and officers.
Must be capable of understanding USACE EM-385-1-1 Safety and Health Manual.
Proficient in Microsoft Project, Excel and Word, aptitude/willingness to learn other management software programs, including Primavera P6, RMS, Procore.
Must have clean history and the ability to pass a vetting check to access different military facilities. Must be US .
Must be willing to travel to their projects on a regular basis to perform onsite visits confirming information and project status.
Must be willing to perform onsite roles as QCM and SSHO
Must have or able to attain prior to start: OSHA 30, QCM Certification, EM 385-1 Certification
