Position Title: Construction Project Engineer Location: Santa Clarita, CA Job Summary We are partnering with a leading construction firm to hire a Construction Project Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality projects. This role supports both the administrative and field aspects of construction, guiding projects through preconstruction, execution, and closeout. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and experienced in coordinating large-scale public works or DSA projects. Key Responsibilities Assist in all phases of the project lifecycle-from planning through project closeout

Support cost estimating, schedule development, and value engineering efforts

Review subcontractor proposals and contribute to buyout strategy

Coordinate MEP systems with architectural and structural designs

Manage project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, and procurement tracking

Maintain accurate and updated as-built drawings throughout the project

Monitor quality control procedures and support risk mitigation efforts

Ensure compliance with document control standards and project protocols

Support financial tracking and documentation, including budget adherence and forecasting

Assist with preparation and delivery of closeout documentation for smooth handover

Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field

Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction project engineering

Preferred experience with Division of the State Architect (DSA) or public sector projects

Proven ability to manage project documentation, scheduling, and subcontractor coordination

Familiarity with projects valued between $30 million and $80 million is a plus
