Job Summary

As the Project Manager - Large Projects Heavy Civil , you will plan, develop, coordinate, and manage on-site construction activities for major DOT contracts. You'll own schedule, cost, quality, and client relationships while steering field teams and joint-venture partners. This position is also responsible for high-level project strategy, monthly cost reporting, and continuous risk mitigation-ensuring every milestone is met safely, on time, and on budget.

Key Responsibilities Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards in line with WW Clyde's project-management guide. Plan, organize, and staff key field positions in coordination with regional department heads. Track budgets, job-cost adjustments, and monthly cost reports; present findings to Area and Division Managers. Interface with owners, JV partners, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies to resolve issues and keep work progressing. Provide administrative direction to on-site Superintendents; investigate serious situations and implement corrective actions. Represent WW Clyde in project meetings, labor-strategy sessions, and alternative-delivery negotiations. Ensure strict compliance with all safety, quality, and environmental requirements. Champion the use of construction technology and software to enhance schedule, cost, and document control. Perform other duties as assigned by the Division leadership team.

Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. 10+ years of heavy-civil experience with some experience managing large ($100 M+) DOT or alternative-delivery projects. Deep knowledge of construction equipment, techniques, drawings, specs, and industry standards. Proven ability to lead multi-discipline teams, negotiate with stakeholders, and deliver projects on schedule. Strong command of construction software tools for scheduling, cost control, and document management. Superior communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Willing and able to travel to project sites as needed.
