CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER I

As the Construction Project Manager, you will serve as a liaison between CPL, clients and external consultants, overseeing construction phase activities to revitalize community infrastructure systems and guarantee optimal project outcomes.

What You Will Do

  • Administer construction contracts and conduct occasional on-site inspections of work to ensure adherence to associated plans and specifications
  • Provide a final quality control review of bid documents, review shop drawing submittals in parallel with the design Project Manager
  • Coordinate and collaborate with Construction Inspectors which may also require some inspection duties based on project or staff schedule
  • Administer construction progress meetings
  • Assist Construction Inspectors in coordinating with clients, owner/operators, contractors, property owners, regulatory agencies, and utilities

What You Bring

Must Have:

  • Five (5) years of related experience performing work for residential and/or institutional projects
  • CPESC, OSHA 10, NICET IV (or equivalent Certifications)
  • Experience with assembling detailed reports
  • Experience in using industry data management programs
  • Able to quickly become familiar with project documentation to gain a deep understanding of associated requirements
  • Ability to interpret moderately complex construction plans and specifications
  • Ability to coach your team both independently and as a whole, inspiring enthusiasm and providing encouragement when needed

Nice To Have:

  • An AS or BS in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Science/Management

The rate for this position generally ranges between $80K - $100K annually. This range is a good faith estimate provided pursuant to the New York Pay Transparency Law. It is based on what a successful New York applicant might be paid and assumes that the successful candidate will be in New York or perform the position from New York. Similar positions located outside of New York will not necessarily receive the same compensation. Actual pay rates may vary from the range, as permitted by New York Equal Pay Transparency Law. Compensation offers will be based on various factors, including operational needs, individual education, qualifications and experience, work location and comparison to employees already in the role, as well as other considerations permitted by law. A potential new employee's pay history will not be used in compensation decisions.
