This position is for an experienced construction project manager with a proven successful track record who can provide leadership and supervision for the development and completion of small to medium construction and renovation projects up to $5M, major repairs, and other special repairs or maintenance tasks. Candidate shall have the ability to organize major stakeholders input to develop owner project requirements, solicit design proposals or develop detailed scopes of work, solicit and evaluate quotes and bids from contractors, consultants, vendors, and suppliers. This position is expected to facilitate and direct project scheduling and progress of work to ensure completion and project delivery in accordance with College Purchasing Policies and stakeholder expectations. Candidates should have a degree in construction management, engineering, and/or 5 years of construction project management experience. Your Key Responsibilities:
Communicate with on-campus customers, co-workers, students, faculty, staff, contractors, governmental agencies, and regulatory agents in a professional manner. Assist FM team in managing work-order flow using CMMS Assist GIS group on data collection and database management Develop and maintain budgets for projects. Develop scope of work and bid documents for minor projects and major repair work. Help in identifying materials/vendors necessary for completion of minor projects and major repairs. Monitor work progress and ensure satisfactory completion of work. Review quotes and bids and assist with preparation of purchase orders. Schedule work with contractors and building occupants. Work necessary overtime and emergency call out hours. Work with Administrative Team and Team Leaders to develop major repair schedule and budget. What You'll Bring: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construction Management or a related field 5 years relevant project management experience Knowledge of the following: maintenance and construction management techniques Ability to prepare estimates of proposed projects Knowledge of proper building maintenance and repair techniques Creating long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines Delegate tasks on the projects to consultants and contractors who are best positioned to complete them Make effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the project or task Serve as a point of contact for teams when multiple units are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain in synergy Communicate with key project stakeholders to keep the project aligned with their goals Solicit and manage architectural design process from solicitation through completion of construction documents
