Construction Manager

As the construction manager, you will play a key role in overseeing all the rebuild projects after restoration services have been completed. At ServiceMaster we value the utmost integrity, work ethic, and work quality. This role requires a high level of industry knowledge as well as the ability to adapt to the changing landscape of the insurance restoration industry. Key responsibilities include:

  • Inspect and scope jobs onsite
  • Document loss with clear and descriptive job photos and upload into the operating system/software.
  • Writes reconstruction estimates using Xactimate estimating software
  • Communicates conversations and key information on the job using the notes feature in required software
  • Estimates using carrier audit standards and manages the estimate based on feedback from adjuster and customer
  • Oversee operations of all construction projects, ensuring customer and client satisfaction.
  • Schedule and oversee subcontractors and vendors
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, monitoring completion timelines and budgetary requirements.
  • Ensure all work complies with plans, specifications, local codes, and the scope of work.
  • Performs final walk-through and addresses policyholder concerns through reconstruction process
  • Manage project documentation, including permits, contracts, and change orders.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a construction manager or similar role in the construction industry
  • Xactimate Level 2 or higher
  • Experience and/or general knowledge of the insurance and restoration industry
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field (preferred but not required)
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and methods

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

  • Move up to 70 pounds often, by lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise repositioning objects.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time. Lifting, squatting, crawling and crouching is required.
  • Express or exchange ideas with others, and receive and act on detailed information given.
  • For safety reasons, respirators, which are used in certain situations, must be able to seal to your face.
  • Be exposed to various inside and outside working conditions: The change of environment, such as with or without air conditioning and heating.
